Austa Sue left Rector after our 11th grade and finished high school in Houston, where she has lived all these years. She has been married since 1960 to Ray Kelley, who has worked for 38 years for Texaco in the Global Information Service Department; he plans to begin enjoying retirement soon. Austa Sue and one of her four daughters, Theresa, own their own business. Austa Sue has worked for years as a Girl Scout Leader, in various school libraries, on the local parks board, and on the Senior Services Board. Austa Sue and Ray's daughters are Theresa 35, married to a lineman who works for Houston Lighting and Power; Dianna 33, an administrator married to a CPA; Ginger 29, also an administrator married to a University of Houston Law student; and Angela 22, a marketing student at the University of Houston. | ||

Kirklin February 19, 2004 Jo Ann is retired from
teaching school. She taught
26 years and now has acquired a job of baby-sitting her grandchild. Don is still farming, but is
semi-retired, he will still be farming several hundred acres but their
son, Scott, has taken over the bulk of the farming operations. Don is keeping enough so he won’t
have to rest too much!! He

children—Tiffany, age 17 and is a senior school this year. Tyler is 12 years old and in the
seventh grade, both are in Rector Schools. Their daughter Leigh Ann
Jones is married to David Jones, also from Rector, class of 1978. They have four children, Amanda,
age 17 (Leigh Ann’s step daughter), Kylee Beshears age 9 and Kirk Lin
Beshears age 5 and Kameron Jones born December 6, 2004. So all in all Jo Ann and Don have
six grandchildren. Jo Ann says “In my later years I am enjoying being on the computer, visiting with family and friends”. She continued, “I’ve lost my mom and dad since 1998 of which is a great void in my life, but I am so thankful I sill have my immediate family with me and we are in reasonably good health right now”. | ||

19, 2005 I married Marilyn Kay Gordon of Milan,
Tennessee. We had four
children: Leianne Kaye, Lucinda Gaye, Gordon Michael, and Timothy Patrick.
Marilyn died September 14, 1987.
Leianne is married to Mark McGinnis, has two children, Amy
Elizabeth and Zackary Gordon.
Lucinda's children are William Winston (Will), Melissa Lynn, and
John Michael Lawson. Gordon Michael has two daughters, Lauren Emily and
Rachel. Mike's wife, Cara,
has two marvelous sons, Cody and Jason. Tim is married, his
wife, Alice is expecting their first child in June.
Tim is in his last year of medical school at the University of Arkansas Medical School. He lives in Pine Bluff, where he will practice medicine. Mike graduated from Hendrix College, served 5 years in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear engineer. Now he lives in Mainesville, Ohio. Lucinda has a Ph. D. in Management from Texas A & M University and is a professor at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Leianne, is a housewife and mother, she transports her two children to private school each day, a 45 minute drive one way. New Orleans traffic! | ||

Jean and her two sisters (Phyllis and Glenda) and brother Cecil took a road trip together this summer to Colorado and New Mexico. Tawn's children are Ariel 14, Cassie 12, and Ryan 9. Barb retired July 31 of this year from ViroMed Laboratories, where she was vice president of the diagnostic testing services. Dalton's wife Jody became his bride on May 18 of this year! His older daughter is Melissa, 33, who graduated from Drury College with a business degree and is a regional director for the Girl Scouts. She has one daughter, Rachel Kaylan, 3. His younger daughter is Pamela, 30, who has a degree in hotel and restaurant management from South West Missouri State University. She is the director of banquet and catering services for the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Denver, Colorado. She has never married. Dalton has lived all over the United States. In 1979 he graduated from Dury College in Springfield, Missouri, with a business degree. He moved to Houston in 1994 to work for the Metropolitan Transit Authority, but recently accepted a position with Goodman Bus Services to coordinate all special events where transportation is required throughout the Houston Metropolitan area. Jody, who transferred to Houston from California, is the assistant general manager for the Houston Paratransit division. | ||

Russell has worked as a maintenance mechanic at Monarch Paint Company for eighteen years. He enjoys hunting and fishing though he spends more time with the grandchildren than doing either--but has no complaints!!!

Sherry's daughter Tonya works at Accudata-America, a computer research firm. She is married and has two sons, Paul 9 and Tyler 5. Sherry, her children, grandchildren, brothers (Andy and Tony), and her mother all live within 35 miles of her! She says they are all warm in the winter and HOT in the summer! Sherry is the social concierge for a large hotel in Ft. Myers, and she must be extremely successful as she was recently awarded the distinguished President's Award, the highest award given to a hotel employee. After high school Johnny studied and worked in computer technology in Memphis, Los Angeles, and Mississippi before moving to New Orleans and earning his D P M at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and becoming a licensed and ordained minister in the Southern Baptist Church. In 1981 he became bi-vocational, working both as a pastor and in computer operations for Levi Strauss and Co. After twelve years of marriage, Johnny "realized the preacher and the devil could not live together. He saw the light and became a Presbyterian in 1987"; remarried in 1992; moved to Hardy, Arkansas, in 1996; and retired from Levi Strauss in 1997. He and his wife Katie own and operate the Oakwood Place Bed and Breakfast in Hardy. He also has a stained glass studio and does commission windows for houses and churches. He is a member of the Spring River Chamber of Commerce, president of the Hardy Merchants Association, serves on the Ozark Gateway Tourism Council board, and is currently running for mayor of Hardy. Johnny says he is still not old enough to be a daddy (obviously unlike the rest of us)! | ||

Randall has one son, Randy, who is 39 and lives in Marietta, Georgia. He has four grandchildren, three boys and one girl. Randall lived in many cities, including Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Minneapolis, Minnesota. He worked for Molecure Genetics, a biotech company, where he was the director of sales and marketing. He retired in 1987 and returned to Arkansas in '89. | ||

I drove a kiddy train for the St. Louis Zoo after being promoted from head monkey trainer. Before that I obtained a position at Weber Lanes as the head ball and pin washer. I've just returned from an 18 month vacation in Joliet at the Illinois State Correctional Facility where my friend Bubba and I received awards for making the most license plates in a 24 hour period. I am presently seeking a job career as a massage therapist. | ||
